Module Six - Blog: Reviewing Peer Responses to Artwork

http://joerweb.blogspot.com/2016/10/art-gallery-photos.html

1. When looking at Project #1: (Elements and Principles), did you agree with the element or principle the artist listed with the images? Did you see other elements and principles in the images?
I agree with all the elements and principles in the images that Darren Young posted. I believe that every image has a variety of element and principles so yes I did see other elements and principles in almost every image. For instance, when I would see images that represented Unity, I would also see Colors, Lines, and Space.
2. When looking at Project #2: Where there any images in the Peer Blogs the same as your own? If yes, what were they? Where the reasons the image was selected the same or different as your own?
While observing Joe Webber's blog on his visit to the Art Gallery, I noticed that we did not have the same images at all and I don't believe that that was for any particular or specific reason, other than the fact that we had different artistic taste.
4. Where there any images that your Peers selected that pique your interest now? If yes, what are they and what is your connection with them? What would you want to know about them?
A picture that Joe Webber had on his blog, from his art gallery photos, that intrigued me the post was Philip Lorca Dicorcia's Heads or at least a photo from that series. This picture intrigued me because I personally feel as though it symbolizes the oppressive and the systematic racism that black people have endured for the past 400 years and counting and this photo resonates with me because I feel as though it is a well depicted visual of that.

5. What do you think about  the process of reading your peers reflection? Do you find this to be a valuable in your learning?
Yes, because this could expand my knowledge and comprehension of some of the concepts I learned in this course. It also gives me different perspective on these concepts as well and teaches me something new.
6. Check your Blog and read comments posted by your Peers. Do you find their comments helpful?
Yes, because sometimes they tell me what they agree with or disagree with when it comes to my answers to the questions on my blog. Sometimes there are critical of what I post and I accept that criticism and try to improve my answers or comprehension of some of the concepts we learn in this course.
