Module 3

1. Describe Color and it's effects on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting.
Color is the way objects absorb light and then is perceived by human emotions in various ways. Specific colors can have cultural or individual associations. The meanings of different colors can vary by different situations or individual ideas.
2. What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why?
The theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues me is the fact that color is about the various interpretations that people have for colors. Another thing being the fact that colors could affect one's mood or emotions. An example of this is the color red is known as the color of  hearts and love to someone who is feeling loved or it could be interpreted as danger, associated with blood or anything negative.
3. In the Color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?
From the Colors video, what made the biggest impact on me was Jude Redfern's love/hate relationship of her colors. While observing her paint, it was easy to notice how her emotions would be expressed through the colors that she would use. Event though she was disappointed at times during the process, the end result of the artwork was truly a beautiful sight.
4. In the Feelings video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effects on emotions?
What made the biggest impact on me from the Feelings video, was the fact that one could express his or her feelings through the colors that they would use. These expression of their emotions and feelings would be evident by observing the colors used. A great example of this would be the artwork of Goya, who would use dark colors and shades.
